About the Course:

The online course will have sessions of 90 min  duration for 10 working days covering various aspects that need to be dealt with while setting up wastewater reuse facilities including basic and advance treatment technologies, methods adopted for treated wastewater reuse, setting up of the plant, related legal and policy issues, funding options, managing contracts, government approach, marketing strategies and consumer perspectives etc.

Objective of the Course :

• To familiarize with the various aspects of setting up wastewater reuse infrastructure facilities: The programme covers an overall understanding of various aspects that need to be dealt with while setting up wastewater reuse facilities including basic and advance treatment technologies, methods adopted for treated wastewater reuse, setting up of the plant, related legal and policy issues, funding options, managing contracts, government approach, marketing strategies and consumer perspectives etc 
• To introduce basic and advanced concepts of wastewater treatment technology: Whereas some descriptive material is required to convey the concepts and technological options, the relevance of the material is linked to the practical application of concepts to real life industry  situations 
• To understand industry, consumer and government policy and project implementation: One of the key to understanding concepts better is to learn from real-life experiences of industries in the country and internationally. Additionally, the course also highlights the perspectives of the government and the consumer
