OBJECTIVE OF THE TRAINING PROGRAMME

• To study how to adopt ‘One Water’ in planning
• To understand a city and township level plan to meet water demand with ‘One Water’
• To know what and how to update existing infrastructure and develop new infrastructure
INTRODUCTION
Water is a one of basic five elements, vitally important for existence of life on earth. Multi-disciplinary studies using advanced technology duly supported by innovative, creative ideas is need of the hour to understand current silos in managing water dierently; surface, used (waste), storm and ground water, climate change, growing demand supply gap etc. It is very essential to solve the present day challenges of having safe sustainable water for all. Atmanirbhar Bharat needs safe and sustainable water arrangemento for all to build modern India. ‘One Water’ is very useful concept to address the specic regional water challenges, it shall require
paradigm shift in water management. Adopting it strengthen the entire water sector. People’s active involvement and support can play a vitally integral role in achieving this goal.
TARGET PARTICIPANTS
This course is designed to be useful and informative for policy and decision makers like Central and State Ministries involved with Water, Pollution Control Boards, Mayors, standing and water works committees, Municipal Commissioners, Town Planners, Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), Jal Boards, Wastewater Treatment Companies, Wastewater Treatment Plant (WTPs) including E-uent Treatment (ETPs) and Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) Associations, Operations & Maintenance and Service provides, Academicians, R&D Experts, Technology Developers and Providers etc. This
